Description: Big Mountain Nordic Center offers over 16 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, groomed for both classic and skate skiing. Two and a half kilometers of trail are rated easiest, 8.5 kilometers rated more difficult, and 5 kilometers rated most difficult. Trails are groomed daily and there is a fee to use the trails. Rental equipment is available as well as cross-country ski instruction. Located just below the Outpost Ski Shop at the base of Chair 6 (free lift), the trails wind through pristine forest, great views and offer a variety of terrain for different skill levels. Food service and lodging are all available. Wildlife can be seen along the trails.
Directions: Big Mountain Nordic Center is located at Big Mountain Resort; 8 miles north of Whitefish.
